Bobby G – you piqued my interest for sure. I love Rock & Roll, especially the oldies.
While I know some of the history to which you speak, I definitely learned some more from you today. I liked the way you uncovered some the relationships of the songs, like the British “Invasion” and how the British bands replicated songs for America in the 50s.
On a more technical note. The quality of the songs was outstanding and your voice modulation was quite good. The volume between songs and narration could have been a little more even keel.
Lastly, this was Episode 1, and just one person’s opinion but 1:02 is a bit much all at once and might be more captivating if broken up into many episodes of shorter duration.
I’m impressed and you have a fan with me. Good luck with your journey into internet radio!

Thanks Bernie. The format of an hour more or less was chosen for our short attention spans and represents an hour drive roundtrip to most places in Southwest Florida.
Congrats Bob! Sounds GREAT!!! Keep it goin’ with lots of success on your new journey!

My theme song was written and performed by my daughter’s boyfriend, Ron Gross. He plays a computer keyboard to get that sound.
Great work Bobby G. !!! Tell it like it was.. and still is… Better than boring golf!!! Go For It..

Thanks Sharon, I can’t play golf everyday.
Bobby G the DJ – Could this be the start of a new career?
I enjoyed the show. Interesting, informative and entertaining. Why can’t we hear this music on commercial radio? It’s all rock and roll.
Thanks for the Beatle’s cover of Chuck Berry.
Looking forward to the next edition.

Thanks John, hopefully once my show is fully up and running it will be the anecdote for bad commercial radio.
Bob,
Great job! I loved it, especially the the Skyliners and the Penguins. I spent my summers in Fair Lawn ’til I was 11 or 12 and went to the block dances on the tennis courts, 2 blocks from my Aunts house. On Wednesday night I got to hang out with the big kids and danced with Lucille Stewart and Patty Mangarelli. Great memories. Thanks.

Thanks Bill, hopefully we can keep the memories flowing.
Great show. Got me on last song…was never a G&R fan, so didn’t know. And don’t worry about your voice volume– when someone at a Tony Bennett concert yelled out, “Talk louder!” in between songs, he said “listen harder”. A good lesson for me as I still listen to Jonathan Schwartz (an oldie) for whom I have to ” listen harder”… but it’s always worth it! Looking forward to next one.
